Console Management
Console Management Replacement Program
There are a number of console management products that have been developed over the years. Some of these include products that are no longer actively supported such as the original PolyCenter Manager (PCM) developed by DEC. Others lack important functionality customers require and many have not been actively improved to meet the needs of today’s IT infrastructure.
ConsoleWorks© includes console management as one of its many capabilities. TDi Technologies offers the console management capabilities of ConsoleWorks in a discounted program to meet the needs of customers whose burning issue is replacing an existing console management product.
The discounted pricing is only available as a replacement for an existing console management product. The console management program includes a full upgrade path to IT Foundation Management to ensure customers can address their burning issue now while having the opportunity to expand into full IT Foundation Management later.
Key Features
Easy replacement of existing console management software
The console management replacement program allows customers with an existing console management product to trade it in for credit against a Console Manager Server. The program provides an inexpensive way to address console management challenges with an actively supported product and the flexibility to expand into IT Foundation Management in the future.
Agent-less and persistent
ConsoleWorks does not require the installation of software agents to establish connections for managing and monitoring targeted components. Established console connections are retained at all times (persistent) to facilitate IT operations.
Console management
ConsoleWorks is vendor agnostic giving it the ability to manage virtually any console in the IT infrastructure. This includes traditional in-band interfaces (operating systems, databases, applications), out-of-band interfaces including baseboard management controllers (iLO, iLO 2, DRAC, ALOM, iLOM, BCMM, etc.), and out-of-band privileged serial interfaces.
Connectors
ConsoleWorks as built-in connector types including Serial, Telnet, Telnet on Demand, and Syslog.
Powerful Automation
ConsoleWorks offers powerful automation capabilities that simplify work, thereby reducing cost and improving quality.
Secure Remote Access
Through a standard web browser, ConsoleWorks can be securely accessed from any geographical location eliminating the need for administrators and engineers to be locally present to perform their work.
Who is this for?
The Console Management Replacement program is for customers who have an existing console management product they desire to replace.
